Twenty 4-H’ers participated in the Washington County Clothing Event at the Washington County Extension Office. 4-H members have the option of four categories to participate in: $20 Challenge, Clothing Selection, Fashion Revue, and Innovative Design. In the $20 Challenge category, 4-H’ers shopped for second-hand items totaling $20 or less. This excludes accessories, undergarments, and shoes. The Clothing Selection category is purchased clothing for an intended purpose, and the Fashion Revue category is a constructed outfit. The Innovative Design class is for outfits that are constructed with unconventional materials. In this class, the garment can be modeled by the exhibitor or by the individual it was designed for. An Award Results Runway show was held to model outfits that were judged earlier in the day and to hear judges comments about the top participants.
