The Washington County Board of Supervisors heard from Washington County Engineer Jacob Thorius in regard to the approval of a new dump truck purchase for the Secondary Roads Department. Thorius explained the need for the new truck, “So this is to replace a dump truck that unfortunately had an accident roll and ended up being totaled. Still working with insurance there on the actual cash value. I believe the initial is right at one hundred and eighty thousand dollars. Been doing some review and comparing other out there and getting them some examples, and hoping to get up higher closer to two hundred but waiting to hear back from insurance.”  The Supervisors approved the purchase of a new dump truck for Secondary Roads.
