Two hundred and ninety-five FFA exhibitors from across the state of Iowa competed in the FFA Market Swine show on Thursday, August 8, and Friday, August 9, at the 2024 Iowa State Fair. Types of swine included Crossbred Market Gilt, Crossbred Market Barrow, and Purebred Market Swine. Taylor Brinning of Washington FFA,  won Grand Champion Market Pig. Brinning was also Division 3 Champion of Crossbred Market Barrows. The 6th place Top 10 chapter out of 135 chapters was the Crooked Creek FFA out of Winfield. The Iowa State Fair is one of the oldest and largest agricultural and industrial expositions in the country and the single largest event in the state.
