The Winfield-Mount Union Wolves came away with a victory in their first conference match of the volleyball season last night, winning in straight sets at Louisa-Muscatine.

WMU was in control early, taking the first two sets 25-14 and 25-11, and while the Falcons pushed them hard in the third frame, Winfield-Mount Union held on to win 26-24. Junior Kellee Milks led the Wolves with 10 kills and 17 digs, while senior Josie Nelson added eight kills, nine digs and three serving aces.

Freshman Kynlee Buffington came up with eight kills and three blocked shots in the middle, while junior Madison Kellogg handed out 25 assists at setter to go with four kills and five digs to help Winfield-Mount Union start the season 2-0. WMU is back in action tomorrow night for a trio of matches at Lisbon.
