The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk volleyball team had a full day Saturday at the Iowa City West Tournament. The No. 6 in Class 3A Hawks scored wins in three of their five matches on the day including sweeps of Cedar Rapids Washington 21-13 and 21-17 and No. 10 in Class 5A Cedar Rapids Prairie 26-24 and 25-16. They also took down No. 12 in Class 4A Grinnell in three 23-25, 25-17 and 15-7. Mid-Prairie dropped a tough three set decision to No. 3 in Class 4A Clear Creek Amana 17-21, 25-23 and 8-15 and were beaten by No. 2 in Class 5A Ankeny 16-21 and 13-21.

Stat leaders on the day for the Hawks included Jovi Evans with 103 assists and Jeorgia Evans with 18. Harper Pacha led with 32 kills, Callie Huber added 30. Defensively, Dakota Mitchell had the top digs total with 68 and Jeorgia Evans finished with 59. Huber led with nine blocks while Jovi and Jeorgia Evans, Pacha and Brylee Gearhart all had three. Jovi Evans and Katelyn Harland each had five aces. The Golden Hawks are now 14-5 on the year and will next be in action Thursday when they host No. 15 Wilton.
