The Mid-Prairie FFA participated in the annual Iowa FFA Livestock Career Development Event held at Iowa State University on August 24, 2024. Members of the team included Brock Fisher, Peighton Ford, Charlotte Sieren, and Brynn Younge. The FFA Livestock Evaluation Career Development Event provides an opportunity for FFA members to display their agricultural knowledge and skills in the area of Livestock Evaluation. Activities included placing breeding and market classes of beef, swine, sheep, and goats; keep/cull and oral reasons classes; and a general knowledge test. There were 168 members participating from 47 chapters at the Livestock Judging Contest.  Charlotte Sieren placed 1st overall in sheep and 11th in the overall judging competition.  The Mid-Prairie team placed 11th in the overall team competition.
