Kirkwood Washington County Regional has teamed up with Mid-Prairie High School to bring culinary classes to the community. The three fall classes center around Asian cuisine and will cater to all skill levels. Glenda Seward, Mid-Prairie’s Family & Consumer Sciences teacher as well as Kirkwood Adjunct Faculty member, will lead the cooking classes at Mid-Prairie High School’s state-of-the-art Culinary Lab in Wellman, IA. The three-part cooking series is scheduled for one Wednesday per month in September, October, and November, with topics to include an introduction to stir-frying, handmade Asian dumplings, and exploring the art of sushi.
