The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk volleyball team resumes River Valley Conference play tonight with a road trip to Durant. Mid-Prairie is 15-5 on the year, 2-1 in the RVC after Thursday’s Senior Night sweep of unbeaten and No. 15 ranked Wilton at Tim Grady Gymnasium in Wellman. The Hawks are ranked No. 12 in Class 3A in the latest poll from the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union. So far they have 951 digs, second in Class 3A, 567 kills, eighth in 3A, 544 assists, fourth in 3A, 104 blocks, 103 aces and a .262 kill efficiency rating, sixth in 3A. Individually, they are led by Jovi Evans with 279 assists, Dakota Mitchell with 272 digs, third in 3A and 22 aces, Harper Pacha with 137 kills, and Callie Huber with 24 blocks.

Durant is 5-7 this season, 0-2 in conference play after a four set loss to Tipton last week. This year the Wildcats have 380 digs, 316 kills, 290 assists, 67 aces, 59 blocks and a .240 kill efficiency, seventh in Class 2A. Individually they are led by Rilynn Buesing’s 245 assists, Allison Toft with 113 kills, 73 digs, 16 aces and 13 blocks. Mid-Prairie has won seven straight in the series, including a best of three earlier this year at the Central Lee Tournament. Action starts tonight at 7p.m. at Durant High School.
