Three Libertarian candidates running for office in November will not be allowed on the ballot. This includes 1st Congressional District candidate Nicholas Gluba, Marco Battaglia in the 3rd District, and Charles Aldrich in the 4th District. This decision comes after a ruling by the State Objections Panel in August over the party’s failure to conduct its nominating process in accordance with state law. The candidates challenged the panel’s ruling and the case went to the Iowa Supreme Court, where the ruling was upheld. The three Libertarian candidates plan to move forward with write-in campaigns for the general election in November.
