The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk volleyball team continues their strong play as we reach the midway point of the 2024 season. The Hawks stand at No. 12 in the latest Class 3A poll from the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union. They have been a part of all four sets of rankings issued this season. On the year, the Hawks have totaled 1005 digs, third in Class 3A, 607 kills, sixth in 3A, 582 assists, third in 3A, 110 blocks and 110 aces with a .257 kill efficiency, seventh in 3A. Individually, Jovi Evans leads with 300 assists, Dakota Mitchell has 273 digs, fifth in 3A, and 26 aces, Evans and Harper Pacha are tied for the team lead at 147 kills, and Callie Huber and Brylee Gearhart have 25 blocks each. The Golden Hawks are 16-5 on the season and next take the court Saturday in tournament action at South Tama.
