Five local teams are represented in this week’s cross country rankings from the Iowa Association of Track Coaches.

In Class 3A, the Washington boys stand at No. 8 in the team rankings, while the girls are No. 20. Individually, Tyler Alderton is No. 19 in the boys 3A rankings, for the girls, Iris Dahl is No. 23.

In Class 2A, the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk girls are No. 2 in the state, with the boys checking in at No. 3 in the IATC poll. Individually, the Mid-Prairie girls have Brooklyn Stutzman at No. 10 and Rachel Hostetler is No. 16. For the boys, Emmett Swartzentruber is No. 7 and Preston Yutzy is No. 29 in 2A.

In Class 1A, the Columbus boys are No. 9 in this week’s team poll. Ty Muniz represents the ‘Cats in the individual poll at No. 27. WACO’s Jude Dykstra is No. 14 this week and in the girl’s IATC 1A poll Hillcrest Academy’s Marie Yoder is No. 11 this week.
