The Washington County Pork Producers will be hosting a 1000-pork burger giveaway on October 9th at the Washington County Fairgrounds from 4:30 to 6:30 pm. KCII News spoke with Amanda Adams with the Pork Producers to learn more about the event. “We did a similar event to this a couple of years ago, and you know just the way everything worked out, I think we gave our last meal away as the exact last vehicle came through the line. And it was such a fun experience to do it that way.” October is National Pork Month, and with this event, the Washington County Pork Producers are hoping to spread awareness about the importance of pork and increase consumer awareness.
