The Hillcrest Academy Raven volleyball team scored a win Thursday in Wayland over the WACO Warriors in four sets. The Ravens took the match 25-21, 19-25, 25-13 and 25-13. Hillcrest stat leaders included Malia Yoder with 26 kills, 18 digs, five aces and two blocks. Kylee Statler added 10 kills and two blocks. Ruth Witthoft had eight kills and a block, Lydia Beachy had 13 digs and five aces and Claire Withrow added 43 assists. WACO was led by 20 assists for Carlee Lunsford and nine for Kinsey Hildebrand. Lunsford had nine kills and Drew Graber added seven. Brenna Graber posted 34 digs while Peyton Graber and Ella Huisenga each had 17. Ally Rinner added a block, Hildebrand had four aces and Huisenga two. The Raven win snaps WACO’s six match streak in the series and moves Hillcrest to 17-5 this year, 4-1 in conference, while the Warriors drop to 5-18 on the year and remain winless in the league.
