At their Tuesday meeting, the Washington County Board of Supervisors discussed a contract agreement with Ahlers and Cooney P.C. for labor relations and human resources needs for the County. Supervisor Jack Seward Jr and Washington County Attorney Nathan Repp discussed the contract, “I looked at the contract that we have in the read file, and I think it answers the questions that we had raised earlier. And I will ask the County Attorney if he saw anything of concern. No I didn’t, I think the only thing that needs to be determined is how many hours they typically use to determine which process would be better for the county to utilize.” The Supervisors approved the contract agreement with Ahlers and Cooney P.C. for a monthly flat fee of $2500 and they will provide labor and employment related legal services, human resources consultation services, and contract negotiations. Previously, all of these tasks were done in house by the County.
