The Washington City Council held a discussion regarding a resolution approving contractors for the Owner- Occupied Housing Rehabilitation Program Bids at their Tuesday meeting. City Administrator Joe Gaa gave more information on the program, “A program that started back in 2022 I believe. This is kind of the second batch of houses, there have been eight approved already. This is being administered by ECICOG, basically we are just kind of a pass through a fiscal agent sort to speak. So we need to approve the bids, so all the administrative work is being done. This is a special program that came out, it was kind of a pilot program, there were some Covid funds that funded this, so from what I understand this was just a one time thing.” The Council approved the bids for six properties in Washington.
