The Washington City Council met on Tuesday in a special session. On the agenda was the discussion of a resolution to accept an offer to purchase Lot 5 in the South Business Park from Roder Group, LLC in the amount of $30,000. According to a memo from  Washington City Administrator Joe Gaa, lot 5 is on the east side of the cul-de-sac on West Buchanan, and will border the lot that PAWS & More Animal Shelter has purchased. The business owners will be building a dog boarding business called The Bark Barn. Roder Group, LLC will need to finalize their building and site plan to take to the Planning and Zoning Commission. The plan is to begin construction in this fall for a 2025 opening. The Council approved the purchase of Lot 5 for Roder Group, LLC for the set price of $35,000.
