The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk Boys and Girls teams have qualified for the 2024 State Cross Country Championships on Saturday in Fort Dodge. Both won their State Qualifier Meet. This year the Mid-Prairie boys are ranked #1 in 2A, and the girls are ranked #2 in 2A. This is the 10th straight year the Golden Hawk girls have qualified and the fifth straight year for the boys. The Columbus Boys Qualified For State as a team for the 7th time in school history and third time in the last five years. They are ranked #12 as a team in 1A. Individuals heading to state include, Columbus Girls Isabel Rendon, Hillcrest Academy’s Marie Yoder and Siena Stanerson, WACO’s Jude Dykstra, WMU’s Kohlby Newsom, and Sigourney’s Troy Klett.
