The U.S. Department of Transportation announced this week that it will administer $44,640,000 to replace eight bridges across seven counties in Iowa through its Bridge Investment Program, which was established in the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act.  Washington County will receive $38,640,000 to remove and replace seven bridges in Washington, Hamilton, Buchanan, Jones, Cedar and Monroe counties.
