The Highland Huskies had their most successful season on the volleyball court in eight years, and six players who powered them to their first winning season since 2016 have received all-conference honors in the North division of the Southeast Iowa Super Conference.
Among that group is senior Adeline Krotz, who receives a first-team selection at hitter after putting up team highs of 179 kills, 30 serving aces and 27 blocked shots.
Lilly Barre also makes the first team at defensive specialist after leading Highland with nearly 400 digs and collecting 16 aces. Fellow senior Laney Skelton gets a second-team nod at setter after handing out almost 450 assists to go with 67 kills, 22 aces and 142 digs.
Sophomore hitter Hailey Brun makes the second team after racking up 148 kills and 180 digs. Honorable mentions go to juniors Brenna Hazelett and Emersyn Schutlz, who were key contributors for a Husky squad that went 17-13 overall and had a 6-2 record in the Super Conference North that earned them second place in the league.
