A total of $13,836 was raised to benefit local food pantries through the Riverside Casino and Golf Resort’s Giving Back Program. HACAP of Washington County, North Liberty Community Pantry, and the Freedom Foundation’s Veteran Pantry which services the Cedar Rapids area were each presented a check for $4,612.

The company-wide Giving Back Program gives customers free play when they donate to charitable organizations. Guests were encouraged to contribute to the cause by donating $20 which was matched with $20 in free slot play in September, to help raise the funds. In addition the facility partnered with Swarm and hosted Iowa Hawkeye athletes who took part in meet-and-greet events to support the effort and accepted canned and dry food donations from the community. The athletes included the likes of Addison O’Grady, Payton Sandfort, Noah Kent, Owen Freeman, and Herky.
