A man was arrested in West Chester following a vehicle pursuit. On Friday, at approximately 3 p.m., the Iowa Highway Patrol conducted a traffic stop after a vehicle pursuit on Main Street, north of Highway 92, in West Chester. Authorities arrested 24-year-old Brent Nelson of Hedrick on the charges of eluding with a speed 25 over the limit, a class D felony; driving while barred, and aggravated misdemeanor; reckless driving, failure to use safety belt, failure to provide proof of financial liability, and passing in a no passing zone. Bail has been set at $10,000 and a preliminary hearing has been scheduled for November 26th. The Iowa Highway Patrol was assisted by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
