The Washington County Board of Supervisors heard the quarterly report from Washington County Outreach. Director Brandon Hamilton shared the numbers for the last quarter, “Number of probationers, 128 when I submitted this last Friday, 130 as of this morning as far as current probationers. Still the overall majority of offense types we deal with alcohol and or drug-related offenses. Charge types we have on probation with us mostly are serious misdemeanors, some aggravated and a couple of felonies. One thing I did want to note, relatively new service to the area within the year or year-and-a-half, mobile evaluation service, it’s been really good for people that need those evaluations.” Washington County Outreach provides probation supervision services to court ordered individuals, as well as substance abuse assessment and/or evaluations and service referrals. Before the report was given, Hamilton announced his resignation. The Supervisors will be beginning the search to fill that position.
