A Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk football quartet spent all Fall adding their names among the best to ever play for the black and gold.

Mid-Prairie quarterback Brady Weber ends his Golden Hawk career as the single season touchdown throws leader with 20 passing touchdowns in 2023. He slung 31 career scores, second most and his six passing touchdowns in a single game against Albia in 2023 are tied for the most ever in a single game for a Mid-Prairie QB. He also tied the record of six all-purpose touchdowns in a 2023 playoff win over Northeast Goose Lake. Weber’s 3,322 yards through the air in his career is the most ever for a Golden Hawk signal caller. His two seasons as Mid-Prairie starter are first and second all time with 1,751 yards in 2024 and 1,497 yards in 2023. Weber’s single game high was 264 passing yards against Albia in 2023, eighth most. His 260 career connections are most ever for a Mid-Prairie quarterback. His 139 completions this year rank first and his 117 a season ago third. His 23 completions in the quarterfinals of the 2A playoffs against PCM this year are second in school history for a single game. His 86 yard touchdown throw to Hudson Ehrenfelt in 2024 against Sigourney-Keota is the second longest score through the air in Mid-Prairie history.

Golden Hawk junior running back Hudson Ehrenfelt has racked up some lofty numbers with a full year still left in the program. His 28 touchdowns this season were second most for a Golden Hawk in a single year, giving him 44 for his career, third most. He scored six touchdowns on the ground against Davis County this season, tying the all-time mark for a single game. His 168 points scored this season are the third most for a year in Golden Hawk history, giving him 264 for his career, also third. Ehrenfelt’s 1,357 rushing yards this season are eighth in school history. Paired with his 1,336 in 2023, ninth most, he is fourth all-time at Mid-Prairie with 2,693 yards on the ground for his career. His 314 yards against Davis County this season are second most in a single game. He has 52 catches in his career, seventh most for a Golden Hawk and his 86 yard scoring reception from Brady Weber against SK this season is the second longest play through the air for a score ever for Mid-Prairie.

Fellow junior Kaden Kos has been crushing opposing offenses during his time in black and gold. His 287 tackles are most ever for a Mid-Prairie defender. His 159 stops in the most recent season are the most ever for a single year. His 114 tackles as a sophomore were the 10th highest total. Kos has nine scoring grabs in his career, third most all-time. His six touchdowns in 2023 were eighth most for a single season. His 80 yard touchdown catch against Albia in 2023 is the seventh longest aerial score in school history.

Senior wide out Cobi Hershberger cracked the top ten with his 54 career catches, fourth most for a Golden Hawk.

Mid-Prairie finished 2024 with a 7-4 record and their first district championship since 2008.
