The WACO Warriors started the girls’ basketball season Tuesday night by going on the road and taking down conference rival Wapello 41-28.

WACO raced out to a 19-3 lead by the end of the first quarter and never looked back, leading by 10 points at halftime and again by 16 going into the final period. The Warriors will look for a 2-0 start when they next play this Monday at Holy Trinity Catholic.
