Three members of the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk volleyball team were named Academic All-State by the Iowa Girls Coaches Association for their work this fall on the court and in the classroom. Golden Hawks Callie Huber, Brylee Gearhart and Lilly Miller received the award. To be selected, a student athlete must be a senior and meet two of the following three criteria, hold a cumulative 3.85GPA or higher, score 27 or higher on the ACT or 1200 or higher on the SAT and rank in the top 10% of their high school class.

The Golden Hawk volleyball team finished this season with a school record 33 wins, won River Valley Conference South Division regular season and tournament championships and made their first trip to the State tournament since 2004.
