The Washington Chamber of Commerce is gearing up for the 33rd Annual Tour of Homes scheduled for Saturday, December 7th from 4-8 pm and Sunday, December 8th from 1-5 p.m. The homes on display are beautifully decorated, and visitors are sure to be impressed by the festive atmosphere. In addition to seeing the homes, visitors can also learn more about the history of the area and the people who live there. KCII spoke with participant in the tour Elaine Moore to learn more about how she is preparing for the tour, “My house had sat empty for 25 years and we remodeled it so just excited, we call it the Weeks Moore house because it has a little historical as Dick and Jeri Weeks owned it and that was my husband’s uncle, and we purchased it from the estate and we remodeled it so, excited to show the difference in, it was built in 1968, so the difference between 1968 and 2024 is different. But, my home is lived in and just family oriented.” Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door. You can find a link to purchase tickets with this news story at KCIIradio.com. The Candlelight Tour of Homes is the primary fundraiser for the Washington holiday lighting season; more information including tour stops and participating businesses can be found on the Chamber of Commerce website.
