A budget work session has been set for early January for the Washington City Council. Washington City Administrator Joe Gaa started the discussion to set a work session to hold the first fiscal year 2026 budget meeting at the recent Washington City Council meeting, “This is part of getting a new City Administrator who maybe does the budget a little bit different, and I like to take a shot early on in the process of some of the things we are seeing, and going to encounter and get your thoughts. Introduce to you our draft of a little bit of a change to the capital improvement program, so that will be the big part of it.” The Council agreed to set the meeting on January 7th at 4 p.m., before their regular meeting.
