A Brighton woman was arrested after reports of a gun being displayed from a car window. According to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, at 11:43 a.m. Sunday officials received a report of a black Saturn hatchback with a gun out the window as the caller passed them. The incident occurred in the 300 block of West Van Buren Street. Authorities located the vehicle northbound on Highway 1 in Washington and stopped the vehicle. Authorities arrested 39-year-old Ashley Irene Robinson for assault while displaying a dangerous weapon, an aggravated misdemeanor.

The vehicle was towed from the scene. Robinson was taken to the Washington County Jail.

A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for December 18th and Robinson was released on bail.
