The National Weather Service in the Quad Cities has issued Ice Storm Warnings for the entire KCII listening area. Washington, Keokuk, Jefferson and Henry Counties are under an Ice Storm Warning until 2p.m. Saturday, December 14th. An Ice Storm Warning continues until 4p.m. For Iowa, Johnson and Louisa Counties. Freezing rain will continue into Saturday afternoon with more ice accumulation possible and wind gusts up to 30mph. Travel is strongly discouraged. If you must travel make sure you have an emergency kit in your vehicle.
Alliant Energy is reporting nearly 9,000 customers without power across multiple counties in Southeast Iowa.
The Iowa Department of Transportation is reporting all major roadways in Southeast Iowa as completely ice covered at this time.
