The Washington County Board of Supervisors will be meeting on Monday this week due to the Christmas holiday. On the agenda is the third and final reading of the wind energy ordinance for Washington County. The ordinance proposes that the set back distance for any wind turbine in the county should be no less than one mile from inhabited structures, and the set back distance from property lines shall be no less than two times the total height of the tower itself. The Supervisors will also be holding a work session beginning at 10:30 a.m. to discuss the Washington County Engineer Employment Contract. The regular meeting will begin at 9 a.m. in the Supervisor’s Chambers in the Washington County Courthouse. The County Offices will be closed on Tuesday and Wednesday.
