Cafe Dodici in Washington will be celebrating it’s 20th anniversary on December 30th from 4 to 6 p.m. Enjoy free appetizers, drinks, and a custom coaster set giveaway. They will also be celebrating owner Lorraine Williams’s birthday. KCII spoke with Williams about this anniversary, and what it means to her, “I think back twenty years ago, I wasn’t thinking twenty years ahead, so this is a surprise in so many ways, like what is it like to start a business and still be there in twenty years? This, especially a restaurant, is not a one man show. I have always been blessed with wonderful people around me, people that have been with me for twenty years, and some of that is family, and some of that are local people. And having them find their path in life, like loving to cook in a commercial kitchen, which isn’t for the light of heart. I honestly, to this day, don’t know how they do it. We can have a full restaurant and twenty people in the private room, and the food just comes out table by table with what they ordered.” Join them for a night honoring two decades of delicious food and community spirit.
