Aaron Boone won the final home bout of his Washington Demon wrestling career last night as part of Senior Night duals with Mount Pleasant. While the Washington boys lost on the team scoreboard 51-27, Boone earned a victory by fall at 132 pounds in one minute 38 seconds to improve to 28-1 this season.

Fellow senior Jude Carter also won by pin at 144 lbs, as did sophomore Blaine Rees at 175 and junior Rudy Wolfe at 285, while sophomore Greyson Hartman won a 5-3 decision at 215.

The Demon girls fell to Mount Pleasant 27-12 but got one head-to-head victory from sophomore Nora Stoutner, picking up a pin at 125 lbs. While the Washington girls are off this weekend, the Demon boys will compete at the WACO Invitational tomorrow in Wayland.
