The National Weather Service in the Quad Cities has issued a Cold Weather Advisory for the entire KCII listening area through noon Tuesday, January 21st. Dangerously cold wind chills as low as 25 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes. Frostbite and hypothermia will occur on unprotected skin. Use caution while traveling outside, wear appropriate clothing including a hat and gloves. Keep pets indoors as much as possible. Check on older family, friends and neighbors. Ensure portable heaters are being used correctly.
