The WACO Warriors took care of business and swept a conference basketball doubleheader Friday at Louisa-Muscatine. The WACO girls pushed an 18-12 lead at halftime out to nine points going into the final quarter, and they would hold on from there to win a 35-28 slugfest.

Brenna Graber was almost the whole offense for the Warriors, scoring a game-high 22 points while also picking up five steals and two blocked shots on defense.

Fellow sophomore Carlee Lunsford added six points and five rebounds off the bench as WACO wins its ninth straight game and improves to 8-2 in the North division of the Southeast Iowa Super Conference and 11-3 overall.

The Warriors boys were in control from the start and got a convincing 66-39 victory over Louisa-Muscatine. Junior Christian Stacy had team highs of 19 points, nine boards, five assists and three steals, while sophomore teammate Holden Hughes scored 10 points.

Senior Isaac Rich added eight points, four rebounds and five assists as WACO raises its record to 10-3, including a 8-1 mark in the Super Conference North. Both Warrior teams have conference clashes when they return to action tonight at Lone Tree.
