A house caught fire in Columbus City on Sunday, January 27th. The Louisa County Sheriff’s Office received a call at 11:39 a.m. regarding a fire at a house in Columbus City. The fire was located at 2204 Market Street in Columbus City. According to the Louisa County Sheriff’s Office, a mattress outside the house caught fire and nearby trash was also on fire.  The Columbus Junction Fire Department and Conesville Fire Department responded to the scene and extinguished the fire. There were no injuries according to authorities.
