The City of Kalona has announced important details for residents regarding yard waste. Kalona has announced that the brush pile and waste bin will close for the season on January 31st. It will not be open again until the spring. It’s normally open from April through November. While it’s closed, locals can dump brush at the Johnson County landfill at no cost.
