The Lone Tree Lions swept a basketball doubleheader Monday at English Valleys. The Lone Tree girls matched their 20-15 lead in the first half with the exact same output in the third quarter, but a 19-9 run to end the game is what really put away English Valleys for a 59-39 victory. A 13th win in the last 14 games means the Lions improve to 15-3.

Lone Tree jumped out to a 17-7 lead in the boys’ game and would double that advantage by the final period in a 71-50 victory. The win raises the Lions’ record to 6-10.
