
A subject was located in Anamosa with a Washington County warrant on Tuesday. The Jones County Sheriff’s Office arrested 26-year-old Colton Pategas of Ottumwa on a charge of violation of probation on the original charge of three counts of burglary in the third degree. According to court documents, in June of last year, the Washington Police Department arrested Pategas on five counts of 3rd-degree burglary, class D felonies, and two counts of attempted burglary, aggravated misdemeanors. This was in relation to several break-ins that took place in Washington. Pategas pleaded guilty to three counts of burglary in the third degree, and the other charges were dismissed. A detainer was placed with the Jones County Jail for Pategas, and he was later transported to the Washington County Jail where he remains on a $10,000 bond.
