The Washington County Board of Health approved an application for a Washington County Riverboat Foundation grant. Public Health Administrator Jenifer Roberts made the request at the meeting, highlighting what the grant would be used for, “And again, this is to help with our clinic wing to help with furniture that we need, some sensory items, and then murals in the exam rooms as well for kids to find different things to distract them from getting their immunizations.” The estimated asking amount is $10,000 to $15,000, and has to be approved through the Board of Supervisors before they can officially apply to the WCRF. The deadline to apply is March 15th.
