The Washington Chapter of Future Farmers of America (FFA) had an opportunity to showcase their prowess this week at the Southeast District Leadership Development Event at North Scott High School in Eldridge. Washington won 10 awards on the day. Three Demons received gold ratings for their work including Izzy Peterson in Ag Sales, and Lauren Lukavsky and Jade Sheetz in the Chapter Test category. Silver ratings went to Andrew Fleming in Welding; Elizabeth Hora, Emma Alderton, Charlee Read, Tate Sheetz, Braydon Clough, Tyler Lukavsky and Chase Berg in conduct of meetings; Lukavsky in Secretary’s Book; Presley Hora and Blake Sheetz in Chapter Program; and Taylor Moore in Chapter Test. Owen Wulf in Welding and Kenzie Thomas in Creed Speaking were both awarded bronze ratings.
