
Five Golden Hawks are advancing to the state competition after receiving gold ratings at the recent FFA Southeast District Leadership Development Events and Convention. In total, 10 members of the Mid-Prairie FFA chapter took part in the event at North Scott High School.
Students advancing to state include Charlotte Sieren in extemporaneous speaking, Ellie Callahan and Brynn Northup for their reporter’s scrapbook which serves as a permanent record of the chapter’s history, and Madelyn Sieren and Allie Whetstine for secretary’s book which includes minutes of meetings and chapter attendance.
Also of note, Adelyn Huston was elected to serve as the 2025-2026 Southeast District Reporter.
In addition, Huston received a silver rating in ag sales. And the ag issues team received a silver rating for a presentation of how pork producers are dealing with the regulations of California’s Proposition 12 law. The ag issues team included Quinn Callahan, Dylan Humphrey, Caedyn Huston, Sydney Knebel, Brynn Northup, and Brynn Younge.
Tate Bombei and Jason Yoder took the Chapter Test, and served as Mid-Prairie FFA delegates.
The state contest will be held April 14th and 15th.
