
Four members of the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk boys basketball team received recognition this week from the River Valley Conference following a strong season.
Junior Bryce Henry was a unanimous First-team All-River Valley selection. Henry led the Hawks and the RVC this year with 489 total points, his 21 points per game were ninth most in Class 1A. Henry hit 84 threes, second most in the state. His 37% clip from downtown was eighth in the RVC. His 187 total made shots led the conference. Henry’s 86% mark at the line was seventh in 2A. He grabbed 123 boards, dished out 44 assists and had 27 steals.
Senior Brady Weber was Second-team All-River Valley. Weber finished 86% at the free throw line, best in the RVC and third in 2A. His 78 made free throws were also tops in the River Valley. Weber’s 96 assists were best for the Hawks and fourth in the league. He also led Mid-Prairie and finished fourth in conference with 49 steals. He scored 291 points, eighth in the River Valley. Weber shot 34% from deep, 10th in conference.
Senior Ace Peck was an All-Conference Second-Team selection. His 34 made three point goals landed him seventh in the RVC. Peck knocked down 32% of his shots from downtown. He made 73 total field goals, scoring 184 points, to go with 55 rebounds, 34 assists and 14 steals.
Senior Conner Wiles was an honorable mention All-Conference choice for the Hawks. Wiles shot 53% from the floor, seventh best in the River Valley. He grabbed 113 rebounds, scored 88 points, had 11 steals and 10 assists.
The Golden Hawks finished second place in the River Valley at 10-2 and 18-5 overall.
