In a matchup local Southeast Iowa Superconference teams on the pitch Thursday in Kalona, the Hillcrest Academy Ravens scored a 6-2 win over the visiting WACO Warriors. Hillcrest held a 2-1 lead at half, and poured in four goals after break to take command of the match. The Ravens had 14 shots on goal to the Warriors nine and seven corner kicks to four for WACO. The Hillcrest attack was led by two goals each from Mason Helmuth and Seth Ours. Rowan Miller and Isaac Birky each added one. Miller had two assists and Birky, Helmuth and Mason Bender had one each. Kyle Neuschwander got the win in goal with five saves. Niles Reichenbach and Nick West each scored for the Warriors. Keiran Luitjens had both assists. Owen Wulf stopped six shots in goal. The win moves Hillcrest to 2-1 this year as the Warriors fall to 2-3.
