The Washington Demons fell to Fort Madison 5-0 last night in a conference boys’ soccer showdown. Despite a penalty-kick save from senior goalkeeper Kaden Read, Washington was already down 3-0 by the time halftime arrived on the road and could never recover.

The loss drops the Demons to 1-3 in the Southeast Conference and 1-6 overall. Washington next plays Saturday at the Muscatine Tournament, where they will have matches against Central DeWitt and the hosting Muskies.
