Construction work on Highway 92 is scheduled to begin tomorrow. Jeff Johnson with the Iowa Department of Transportation says the roadway is being closed because of work over the West Fork of Crooked Creek near West Chester. He says weather permitting the work is expected to start tomorrow morning.
Johnson says the detour route will be along Ginkgo Avenue just west of West Chester to 190th Street to Highway 1. He says the cost for the project is a little over $1 million and the work is being completed by Iowa Bridge and Culvert of Washington.
The work is expected to be completed by the end of October. To find out more information about this construction project, contact the Iowa Department of Transportation’s Mount Pleasant construction office.
