An accident outside of Coralville yesterday has sent a Washington resident to the hospital.  According to the Iowa State Patrol, 46 year old Teresa Jurincie of Washington was traveling westbound on Interstate 80 near Coralville when her left rear wheel broke off causing her to spin out of control and strike the vehicle of 63 year old Patrick Strief of Farley on the right side.

Jurincie’s vehicle rolled onto its left side and slid into the guard cable median.  Both Jurincie and Strief’s wife, Donna, were transported to University of Iowa Hospitals by Johnson County Ambulance.
