The annexation of property was discussed at the Washington City Council meeting last night.  Following a public hearing, they passed a resolution to voluntarily annex a little more than ten acres of land on Lexington Avenue to house the new Kirkwood Regional Center.

The Council held a first reading toward an ordinance change to create a no parking space near North 2nd Avenue and East 3rd Street.  A second reading of an ordinance for a no parking zone on North Avenue E from West Main Street to West 2nd Street was held as well.  Both of these ordinances will be discussed at the next regular meeting.

The Council also entered into an engineering services agreement regarding work on South Iowa Avenue as well as passed a resolution regarding the 2012 seal coat project.
