A special event is happening during tonight’s Farmers Market.  A new bronze head bust of George Washington is being unveiled in Central Park.  Craig Swift from Studio 909 in Washington says the new bust also contains a time capsule.

He says people submitted notes to be part of the time capsule this summer.  Swift adds the new capsule is an addition to the current one in the concrete base of the statue.

Both capsules will be opened July 4th, 2076 – as part of the country’s tri-centennial celebration.  The original head will be on display in the Washington Public Library.

The unveiling of the new bronze head bust begins at 5:30 tonight with a ribbon cutting ceremony in Central Park.
