The head of Washington County’s Public Health Department is retiring in a few months. Edie Nebel has been the administrator there for about 19 years.  She had first worked as a hospital nurse before taking a part-time job at Washington County Public Health.  Within 18 months, she was leading it.  Nebel will work through the first part of next year.
