On Memorial Day in the City of Washington, area groups will raise the flag at the Washington Post Office at 8a.m. At 8:45a.m. a Navy-Marines tribute will take place at the West Fork Crooked Creek Bridge with speaker Sergeant Bruce Timmins. The program on the Central Park Square begins at 10a.m. with speaker LTC Darwin D. “Pete” Peterson. If there is inclimate weather, the event will be held at in the Washington High School gym.
